NIFTEE 2027 registration is open for candidates applying to National Institute of Fashion Technology programmes. The regular application deadline is 16 November 2026, with a later window carrying an additional fee. Before applying, identify the programme and admission route you want, because a general reference to the NIFT entrance exam does not explain every candidate’s required test components.

The dates in NTA’s notice

The 16 October NIFTEE notice sets 16 November as the regular deadline and 21 November as the late deadline, with an additional ₹5,000 late fee. Corrections are scheduled for 22–25 November.

The notice lists city information for 21 December, admit cards for 4 January 2027 and the entrance examination for 10 January. The final centre, date and shift are to appear on the admit card.

It covers undergraduate, postgraduate, lateral-entry, artisan and PhD admission routes. Test components and later selection stages depend on the programme and official admission guidelines, so do not assume every applicant sits the same combination.

Choose the programme before filling the form

Start by reading the official NIFTEE portal and the current NIFT admission guidelines. Match the programme’s eligibility requirements to your qualifications and intended route.

Check age, educational background and any subject or category condition that applies. Do not choose an option merely because its abbreviation resembles the course name you remember.

If you are comparing two programmes, record the differences before applying. That makes it easier to ask a precise question through official support instead of trying to change an unclear selection later.

Understand the test components

The notice identifies computer-based and pen-and-paper components as applicable. The correct combination should be taken from the programme-specific instructions rather than a generic coaching advertisement.

Build a preparation plan around the official syllabus and assessment structure. A practice resource can be useful, but it should not redefine what the examination requires.

Separate preparation for the entrance stage from any later selection stage. Completing one part of a process does not establish admission or remove the need to follow subsequent instructions.

Review documents and uploads

Prepare the documents relevant to your application and check the prescribed formats. Use clear, readable images rather than compressing a file until important details disappear.

Compare names, dates and qualification information across the form and supporting records. If a mismatch exists, investigate it before submitting rather than hoping it will be ignored.

Where a live photograph or identity-verification step is required, follow the current portal instructions. Do not substitute an older applicant’s method simply because it worked in another admission cycle.

Fees, confirmation and corrections

Review the applicable fee before paying and distinguish it from the additional late fee. The late window should be a contingency, not the default plan for an otherwise ready application.

After payment, verify the portal’s completion status and retain the confirmation. Keep the application number and a copy of the submitted information somewhere accessible and secure.

The announced correction period does not mean every field can necessarily be changed. Read the correction instructions when the facility opens and avoid treating it as permission to submit an unchecked form now.

Build a realistic calendar

Create separate reminders for the regular deadline, correction window, city information, admit card and examination. Leave time for document questions and technical issues.

Before travelling, use the admit card’s actual centre and shift rather than a guessed location based on a city preference. Check later official notices for changes to the published schedule.

For candidates also considering a science eligibility examination, our CSIR NET December registration guide covers a separate NTA timetable. Similar portal branding does not mean the eligibility rules, fees or correction permissions are interchangeable.

Keep discovering.
