For OTT releases this weekend, three films offer different starting points: the Hindi housing-society drama Last Man in Tower, the Tamil romantic drama Nooru Kodi Vaanavil and the music-centred Meesaya Murukku 2. These selected arrivals are part of the 6–8 November 2026 viewing weekend, with official pages on ZEE5 or SonyLIV.

Three films and where to check them

Film Platform Starting point
Last Man in Tower ZEE5 A retired teacher resists redevelopment
Nooru Kodi Vaanavil ZEE5 A relationship tested by personal choices
Meesaya Murukku 2 SonyLIV A Gaana singer pursues a wider stage

Use the title pages to check access for your account and region. A platform listing establishes where to look, while your subscription and the offer shown on the service determine whether you can start watching.

Last Man in Tower: a conflict over home and redevelopment

ZEE5’s 6 November announcement says Last Man in Tower is available with an eligible subscription. Manoj Bajpayee leads the Mumbai drama about a man whose refusal to leave his home puts him against the wishes of his housing society.

The platform’s movie page is the direct place to check viewing access. Its earlier theatrical release date should not be confused with the November digital premiere. If you are organising a weekend watch, use the platform’s current play or subscription options rather than a release date copied without context.

The premise may appeal if you want a story built around a community disagreement and an individual’s attachment to home. Watch the official trailer to judge the tone for yourself. The description gives the setup without telling you how the conflict is resolved.

Nooru Kodi Vaanavil: romance and difficult expectations

The official ZEE5 listing names Harish Kalyan and Siddhi Idnani, with Sasi directing. It lists Tamil, Telugu and Hindi audio and a runtime of 1 hour 58 minutes. The story follows Vino and Fenny through a relationship shaped by hope, disagreement and heartbreak.

Check the language selected in the player before starting. A title available in several audio versions can be convenient for a mixed-language household, but everyone may have a different preference for dialogue and subtitles. Agree on those settings first rather than changing them repeatedly during the opening scenes.

For a smaller viewing window, the listed runtime gives you a useful planning reference. Leave time to check the account and device beforehand, especially if the television app has not been used recently.

Meesaya Murukku 2: a singer’s ambition and musical identity

SonyLIV’s movie page describes Jeeva, a Gaana singer determined to take his music to a global audience. It identifies the film as a comedy-drama inspired by Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s life and lists six languages, without naming each language in the public page text reviewed.

Open the player’s audio options to confirm your preferred version. If music and performance are central to your choice, try the official trailer with the sound setup you intend to use. A phone speaker and a television sound system can produce quite different listening experiences.

The description points to personal ambition and barriers around a musical journey. Use that premise to decide whether it fits your mood rather than assuming that a sequel label tells you everything about the film’s story.

If several people are choosing together, agree on the language, available time and type of story first. That short conversation can be more useful than scrolling through a long catalogue while nobody is sure what they want to watch.

Before you start a weekend watch

Check the plan, supported device and language options on the service itself. Review any content guidance shown for the title and decide whether it suits the people watching. Avoid subscribing solely because an undated social post says a film is available.

This is a selected three-film guide rather than a complete catalogue of the weekend. For a cinema outing instead, Bootpoot’s Scene viewing guide covers the theatrical route. For streaming, the official title page and the access shown for your own account remain the final practical checks.

Keep discovering.
