India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI: Wellington Venue, IST Schedule and Match Centre

The India New Zealand 2nd ODI is scheduled for 7 November 2026 in Wellington. BCCI’s published tour schedule lists a 7:30am IST start, and its official match centre identifies the venue as Hnry Stadium. For the current match status, scorecard and confirmed teams, use that match-specific page rather than a series summary.
India New Zealand 2nd ODI: the schedule in IST
BCCI’s squad and fixture announcement places the Wellington game second in a five-match ODI series. Its scheduled start is 7:30am IST. The match-centre time of 2am UTC converts to the same Indian time by adding five hours and thirty minutes.
A scheduled start is different from confirmation that play has begun. The live match page is the appropriate place to check a delay, toss update or revised playing conditions. This guide covers the fixed fixture information and does not present an unverified score as a live result.
Use the right match page for today’s score
Start by checking the teams, match number, date and venue in the page heading. India and New Zealand play several games on the tour, so a search result for the first ODI or a later fixture can look relevant while showing a different match.
The BCCI page includes sections for commentary, scorecard, statistics and squads. Use the scorecard for the innings position and the commentary for the sequence of events. If one section has not loaded, avoid assuming that a blank area means a particular event has happened.
When sharing an update, include the date or match number and the time you checked it. A score without an over count or timestamp can become misleading quickly. Linking the official match centre gives friends a route to the current position after your message is sent.
The announced squad is not the confirmed playing XI
BCCI named Shubman Gill as captain for the first three ODIs, with Shreyas Iyer as vice-captain. The announced group includes Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, among others. The announcement made Prasidh Krishna’s inclusion subject to fitness clearance.
A squad announcement identifies the available group at that stage. It does not mean every named player is in the starting eleven for Wellington. Use the toss and team information for the particular fixture before describing someone as playing or left out.
The distinction is useful when comparing previews with the live page. A predicted XI is a forecast; the official team list is the selection for that game. Keep those labels intact when reading or sharing a lineup graphic.
Keep the official link in one place rather than switching between old tabs for different matches. That makes it easier to check the correct fixture when play resumes or an innings changes.
Where the match fits into the tour
The remaining scheduled ODIs after Wellington are Hamilton on 10 November and Mount Maunganui on 13 and 15 November, all listed at 7:30am IST. BCCI’s announcement separately identifies a squad for the fourth and fifth games, so do not automatically carry the first-three-match list through the entire series.
The tour also includes two Tests later in November. Those are a different format with a separate squad and schedule. A tour calendar can help organise viewing, while the match-specific page remains the better reference for an individual day’s play.
Read a score update in its proper context
Check wickets and overs alongside the runs. A total at the beginning of an innings describes a different situation from the same total near its end. Also check whether the page is showing a current innings, a completed innings or a target.
If a target changes, look for an official explanation rather than calculating a simple proportional reduction yourself. Bootpoot’s first-ODI target explainer covers the earlier game; its figures should not be reused as the target for this fixture.
For Wellington, save the correct match-centre link and use the published IST schedule as your calendar reference. Let the current official page answer the changing questions about play, teams and the score.
